Where on Google Earth is Carmen Sandiego?

Where on Google Earth is Carmen Sandiego is a collaboration project between Google Earth and HMH where users are tasked to play a retro adventure to find Carmen and uncover a villainous plot concerning the members of VILE. Each caper had users follow clues to chase Carmen on her adventures and use Google Earth to track her down.

DESIGN

I was tasked with striking a balance between the art direction of the Netflix version of Carmen, and the classic point-and-click adventures of the Older Carmen series while still still interfacing with a then - new and improved browser version of Google Earth.

I landed on a pixel style that still captured the wonderful color palettes and art direction of the modern series.
